Evaluating Workforce Development Software

Problem/Question
We were hired by NYC’s Department of Small Business Services to conduct a city-wide evaluation of three different software solutions for matching job seekers with employers in order to recommend the optimal solution for purchase and implementation. Our task included managing the set up and testing of the different software packages in collaboration with three of the City’s Workforce1 contracted service providers in Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx and in the process, we gathered user feedback and recommend requirements for the solution.
Outcomes
The project also included staff training, user experience testing and pricing comparisons. At the end of 6 months, we provided the Deputy Commissioner of workforce development with a detailed report outlining a comparison of each option and recommendations for softward to meet their goals.
